JOLIET, IL — Just two days after his release from the Will County Jail after more than six months in custody, 26-year-old Joliet resident Teveon Wallace attacked a woman he once had a previous romance with, pulling her hair, throwing her to the ground, kicking her and punching her several times, according to Joliet police.
After finishing the beating, "Wallace then forcibly removed a set of car keys and two cell phones from the victim," police spokesman Dwayne English announced.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on April 23 in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue.
Joliet police say the victim's car's was recovered around 12:35 a.m. in the 3800 block of Nantucket Drive, which is near Old Renwick Road. Wallace has an address in the 3800 block of Nantucket, according to his jail records.
Last Thursday, Joliet police detectives got a warrant for Wallace's arrest, charging him with robbery, possession of a stolen car, two counts of domestic battery, unlawful restraint and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
As of Sunday, Wallace has not been taken into custody.
