TEWKSBURY, MA — A suspect in a Tewksbury bank robbery was found at a hotel in Salem, N.H., Tewksbury police said. Caio Costa, 25, of Methuen, was arrested by New Hampshire police on Sept. 26, the department said. He was charged as a fugitive from justice and faces multiple charges connected to bank robberies in Massachusetts. On Sept. 25, the Salem 5 Bank on Main Street was robbed by someone armed with a handgun. The suspect fled on a motorcycle, and after the robbery was reported, Tewskbury police officers spotted a motorcycle and gave chase, the department said. The chase was called off when speeds reached 130 miles per hour on the highway. Soon after, a motorcycle crash was reported on the Andover/Lawrence line. Tewksbury police recovered the motorcycle and the rider's helmet, but the rider successfully fled on foot. The next day, Tewksbury police and the FBI Bank Robbery Task Force identified Costa as the suspect and located him in Salem, N.H.'s La Quinta Inn.
