BEFORE you decide to adopt a Pyrenees breed dog, do your research and learn about the characteristics of this breed. They are NOT yard dogs, city dogs or house pets. They require a sizable property on which to roam/guard livestock and it is not uncommon for the Pyrenees to range 3-5 or more miles daily. That is a feature that is in their bloodlines and they need to have the freedom to do just that. If you don't have a sizable ranch, do yourself and the prospective Pyrenees dog a favor and opt for a more suitable house pet. They are good dogs and the puppies are irresistible but they are definitely ranch/acreage pups.
