TITLE Project’s Assistant REPORTS TO Project’s Director GENERAL DUTIES Executing major improvement projects across multiple properties at the direction of The Project's Director. Improvements include but are not limited to new building construction, renovation projects, roadway maintenance, landscaping and property development, operation of heavy equipment, etc. SPECIFIC DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO Perform carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, and maintenance to campground buildings, facilities, equipment and grounds as directed by The Project’s Director. Provide excellent and friendly guest service by being attentive, responsive and helpful to all guests needs. Greet the guests at every opportunity by demonstrating a friendly, welcoming, and professional demeanor. Present a positive impression with a well-groomed appearance, smile and clean KOA uniform and name tag. Work in conjunction with The Project's Director, and onsite Management and Maintenance personnel to execute projects and improvements. Comply with all federal and state safety programs by adhering to established guidelines in the operation and storage of various equipment, tools, and chemicals, ensuring your safety, as well as that of fellow staff, campground facilities and campground guests. Report all customer problems, requests or complaints to The Project Director, and follow-up to resolve the issue if possible Willingness to complete certification and training programs provided. RESULTS EXPECTED Very clean and well-maintained campground facilities and buildings. Professional attitude dedicated to maintaining the campground and serving the needs of our guests resulting in happy campers. Timely reporting of all repairs needed and performed. Timely reporting of all guest concerns and requests. Timely reporting of all accidents and injuries. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Long periods of standing, bending, and kneeling. Must be able to safely operate various maintenance tools and equipment. You must be physically capable of performing expected duties in a professional and efficient manner. Ability to operate equipment (skid steer, excavator) a plus. Welding knowledge a plus. JOB QUALIFICATIONS General construction knowledge, i.e. balloon framing, concrete forming, post and beam construction. Knowledge of electrical and plumbing equipment, maintenance and installation. Basic knowledge of pool operations. Knowledge of safe handling of chemical properties, handling, and usage. Knowledge of propane and gasoline dispensing. Valid Driver’s License is required. Must be able and willing to travel between multiple locations in PA, VA, and OH. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $11.00 - $20.00 per hour
