SWAMPSCOTT, MA —A Swampscott High School alumna who earned the Colgate University Dean's Award with Distinction was among local students honored for their recent academic and athletic achievement. Caitlyn Rogers, a member of the class of 2020, earned the award as a neuroscience major. Students who receive a term grade-point average of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three courses during the spring 2020 semester earn the Dean's Award with Distinction. Colgate is a leading American university for students who want classes with rigor, faculty with passion, and confidence in knowing they will learn how to thrive in work and life. Colgate offers 56 majors and supports 25 Division I athletic teams on a campus of about 3,000 students in central New York. Boston College High School is proud to announce that the following students from Swampscott have been named to the school's first quarter high honor roll. The first quarter recipients from Swampscott were Luke Pulaski and Jack Morris. For high honors a sophomore, junior, and senior must have at least a 3.80 quality-point average and all grades C+ or higher. Freshmen need a 3.6 quality0point average and all grades "C+" or higher. Those who know of a Swampscott student who is excelling academically or athletically at a graduate school or university are asked to submit those notes to [email protected] for publication or possible story.
