We shouldn't make light of it. It's just sad that some people get stuck in that whole country and western thing, dress like fictional cowboys from the movies and all of that. I like Star Trek but you don't see me walking around every day in a star fleet uniform. Cosplay is OK. It's something fun for people to get together and do. But when you live it around the clock. Become it or worse are raised in it or raise your children in it. It's a symptom of a sickness. Many people dress their heritage. A statement that says this is who we are. Or this is how God orders us to dress. And it helps us to define how we need to treat them. And what we should expect from them. But at a certain point. It becomes a defiance. A thing that separates us. Tells everyone anyone who doesn't act like me is wrong or crazy. It doesn't help to put people together. But pushes them apart and causes people to stereotype. Then learn to hate the bad characteristics. Of each kind of dress. So it's just sad that we can't find a way to express who we are without crossing the line. Of get back. You can see who I am. Or I'll get offended. And you can see i think little of you and your kind. It becomes just one more thing taken to the point. That it separates us. It becomes a warning flag. When we should be using our lives to help future generations have their differences without. The prejudices. No matter how many laws you pass. There will always be people that are different from you. They have a right to their lives too. Christ said to go and spread the good news. Not go forth and force your version of it on everyone or else. That makes you more like one of the Eastern nations. With the religious police. And sometimes it just seems our dress is just another symptom of a deeper sickness. And it's sad. There are times when I wish we could all cosplay all of the time. That we could see a man in a dress. And still treat him like a human being. Or that a presisident could dress like a clown as long as they still commanded the respect of the office. Or the goth vampires could roam the streets without people being afraid for their children. Or us automatically assuming they're stupid. Like we often. Do with the cow people. Or bikers or hillbillies. But it's just not possible. As long as we take our personalities. To the point it causes and attracts the lowest common denominator. The only answer is better education. Sadly, something many of us are even burning books to prevent. To keep others from thinking different than they do. One side is trying to teach the next generation it's ok to think or act how you like. As long as your not harming anyone or breaking the law. That's the what the constitution is for. The other side is saying " No, you'll act the way we feel is right. " The very thing the constitution was written to prevent. And often cowpeople seem to be in the forefront of it. Or people who walk around all day in camo. (And apparently water buffalo lodge hats. ) Is our way of dress our new flags? Does it have to be? Pride to the point someone is scared or hurt. Is a weapon.
