Description
SWAMPSCOTT, MA —As Swampscott looks to build a new combined kindergarten through fourth grade school on the site of the current Stanley Elementary School, the town is beginning to consider the future of the Hadley School building should it be deemed "excess" by the Swampscott School Department.
The town is putting together a Hadley School Re-Use Advisory Committee that will study and report on the feasibility of re-using all or part of the existing building. This could be for public, civic, commercial use, and potentially non-market rate housing.
All residents are encouraged to apply, but the town is especially looking for residents with a background in or experience in architecture, real estate development and finance, historic building preservation, arts, marketing and communications, graphic design, landscape design and non-profit administration.
Those interested are asked to submit a statement of interest, including name, address, phone number and a paragraph stating the reason for interest, along with background information that may be helpful, to Allie Fiske at [email protected] by 5 p.m. on Dec. 14.
