I play the electric guitar and acoustic guitar and sing popular songs and would like to infuse a percussionist who has some percussion instruments and can play them fairly well. you don't have to be the best percussionist on the planet earth. Just good enough to catch the rhythm of the songs and be able to retain the songs after going over the songs enough times for you to play them well.
