Description
I have two green cheek conures which ended up being a breeding pair, was not trying but it happened. Can’t believe the experience of watching them and the babies are just adorable.
The babies are about 9 weeks. I wanted to wait for all the feathers to be in before I found them homes. Also wanted to see them come out the box and eat/drink. They have been coming out and even taking baths.
For people who like or interested in a Conure, this would be the way to go. Baby conures are the best way to go as the older they get they can already be attached to a person. Pet stores for conures are usually out of them and when they do have them, they are close to a thousand dollars and several months old. They are either I love with one of the employees or traumatized from the trip. I once bought a conure from the petco and he was 6 months old and I actually had to return him because he would not stop bitting me.
I knew I wanted a conure very badly. I just wanted a baby. I found a hatched baby at a shop called parrots nest. Was a bit more money but I was able to visit my bird much as I could. My bird loves me. 100% if you want a conure you want a baby. One you can mold, train, and be happy with.
I have 3 babies. I will say I want them to a good home and good home only! Yes there is a rehoming fee. I’m not charging what I paid also, not charging what pet stores want. Feel free to check pet stores out. My baby’s were hand fed. I handled them enough to be nice birds but not enough for them to get attached to me.
1 baby is a Green Cheek like the parents
1 baby is a turquoise- they are usually even more at the pet stores. They are considered a rare mutation of the green cheek
1 baby is a yellow belly! Another rare mutation. Is not a pineapple. The yellow belly is my favorite, beautiful! Yellow chest with some red, orange/red tail, green, and blue. Such pretty colors. Wish I could keep.
