Water Main Break Cuts Service To Most Of Swampscott

SWAMPSCOTT, MA —Many Swampscott residents woke up without water Friday morning. Officials said a Cross-Main water break that occurred early in the morning affected most of the town. Swampscott Department of Public Works were able to isolate the break near the Beach Bluff Avenue area and water service was restored to the majority of residents about 9:15 a.m. Officials said residents in the area of Beach Blue Avenue could have water issues as the main is repaired throughout the day. If residents in other parts of town are still having problems, they are asked to contact Swampscott DPW at 781-596-8860.
