Description
Cook Instructors/Group Leaders Needed - Professional experience not required Chefs, passionate cooks or individuals that are excited and knowledgeable about food needed to lead team building cooking classes. We provide the guests/students and the curriculum, format and structure, including event support staff. This is ongoing gig work that you can work into your schedule. If you’re curious about this position or think that you may be qualified, but you’re not sure, please submit your resume. We’d love to talk to you in more detail about this opportunity and even have you come in to observe part of one of our classes to see if this might be for you. Looking for individuals that: • are comfortable teaching/leading a group of up to 13 people • are excited about food and cooking and that can convey that in a fun manner • can lead a group to have a good time while leading them to create a meal • enjoys working with other food professionals • don’t take themselves too seriously, but that can be professional while also being fun This is basically gig work. Usually 5 to 5 ½ hour shifts. You would be asked if you’re available once the clients book the classes. We mix and match instructors with classes dependent upon their availability. We are currently running 5 to 15 classes a week, Monday through Friday, with varying numbers of instructors needed for each class. Shift times vary day to day, with many, but not all, starting 3pm to 4:30pm. Occasionally we have morning classes, and often earlier afternoon classes. You would shadow a current instructor for 2 different formats of classes. If needed there is the option to shadow additional classes until you are comfortable to fly. Please send resume and if you don’t have a professional cooking resume, please share applicable experience with us. We do know that skills transfer. Note: Clients book with us to have a bonding experience around food, the preparation and enjoyment of it. We can take a hierarchy of individuals from a company and basically level their playing field so they have to collaborate equally and have an enjoyable time. We do not create a Hell's Kitchen type of experience.
