This is BS ! Everyone else is getting paid. So should the talent. Ripoff. Be a decent human being. Have a bartender work for free that night and pay the entertainment. Don't pay the dumpster company for your pickup so you can pay the talent. Skip a few drinks for yourself that night. How do you think this is okay to get free entertainment to line your pockets while these folks get nothing ? No matter how experienced these folks are - or how short they play, you could give them something. As exciting as you think it might be for them to play in front of an audience in some crap bar - it would be even more exciting to actually have someone give them a Twenty for their talent. You are obviously counting on them bringing a few friends/family to fill your seats and buy food and drinks. Maybe give their "supporters" a 15% discount on their orders ? No - It is obvious. You see no value in them other than to line your pockets on a night when no one would be in the place. Shameful. Would you have your family work somewhere for free ? Do better South City Tavern.
