Blue and Gold Macaw for rehome

Description
Looking to find a new home for my blue and gold macaw. His name is Wesley he is 4 years old and he is one of the most amazing birds I’ve had the privilege to know. I adopted him when he was one a few years after I adopted my military macaw, my military passed away very suddenly in November and since then I have not been able to emotionally recover. I can not handle Wesley without going into a depressive episode and have been trying relentlessly just to coexist with him but it all just seems impossible. I’ve come to the conclusion that it isn’t fair to him to have to wait around for me to grieve while he gets just the bare essentials so all that being said let’s talk about Wesley. I’ll start by saying he’s not perfect, as a four year old blue and gold he has a lot of hormones and sass in his little feathered body. He always gives me a shriek and fake out bite when I take him out of his cage to see if he can get a reaction (he never does) and sometimes when he doesn’t want to go back in his cage he’ll do the same to see if it’ll scare me from putting him back (it doesn’t). These are all normal things for a opinionated teenager to do so if you have experience with macaws you’ll know exactly what I mean. When he’s out and with me he’s very playful and mischievous, he likes to feel everything with his beak and tongue fingers, blankets, glasses, phones he’s very very beaky, he loves to wrestle with his beak too. When he’s comfortable with you he’ll roll over on his back when playing and sometimes he’ll even hold his own little foot. He is also an amazing flier, currently his wings are clipped because I noticed he would choose not to hang out with people and overall seemed more stand offish and skittish fully flighted rather than his goofy and confident self now. He’s not one to scream very often although he’s capable and can, his go to call is actually my amazons call he loves to mimic my other birds and he’ll sit there calling all day like my grumpy old Amazon. He doesn’t talk he always seemed to prefer other bird noises than mimicking people. I have him microchipped the procedure was done when was a baby down in Seattle where he also received a full disease panel and check up but this was a few years ago. I have him on a roudybush diet and he comes with a cage (he’s a mechanical thinker and can open most cages but this one has been escape proofed) I am asking a rehoming fee to ensure a good home I will be very picky on who adopts him I feel I have failed as his owner so I want to do everything in my power to see that doesn’t happen again. If you’re interested please fill out the following questions along with anything else you’d like to add about yourself and the home you can provide: Name: House/duplex/apartment: Own or rent: If rent does your landlord give you permission to have a large bird on the property: How many other people are in the home: Ages of the people in the home: Do you have parrots if so please provide ages and species: Have you rehomed your parrot before if so why: What is your pain tolerance: What is the noise tolerance for the household: What other pets do you own please state species and ages: What vet do you plan on taking Wesley to if needed: Do you or any other members in the house smoke:
