Description

7.5 CE training for therapists and others in using fun and engaging experiential and adventure activities. Day will be spent outside. Sponsored by the Northwest Region of the Association for Experiential Education. $10 - $20 depending on CE application. $10 is recommended donation for use of facility. Trainers are donating their time.  Please do not pay through Eventbrite to avoid processing fees. Payment to Venmo @lifestreamtherapyllc. Please note the event name and detail facility donation and CE's (if applicable) in payment. NASW OR CE application is pending. Focus will be on therapy applications, but practitioners of all types are welcome. Certificates for participation or CE's will be provided as applicable. 40 participants maximum. Trainers: Daniel Cavanaugh (he/him) PhD, LCSW Daniel is a social work scholar and practitioner. He is on the faculty at University of Washington Bothell. He serves on the Association of Experiential Education's Northwest Council and Therapeutic Adventure Professionals Group Leadership Council. Russell Chamberlain (he/him) LCSW, CADCIII Russell is a parent of 19 y/o twins. He's facilitated experiential/adventure based activities for 40 years. Currently he has a private therapy practice in West Linn, OR . https://lifestreamtherapy.net Competencies covered can be applied toward the 75 hour Certified Clinical Adventure Therapist (CCAT) -- Association for Experiential Education credential. 350 hours of supervised practice are an additional part of the designation. https://www.aee.org/about-the-certification-program Indoor option available in case of rain. COVID-19 precautions: We are asking all participants to be vaccinated. While we are planning on being outdoors some activities can involve very close contact.
