The high level professional performances of Champlain Trio reveal a cohesive ensemble that could become an important part of Vermont’s music “Champlain Trio is proving a promising professional ensemble with nearly endless possibilities. Any opportunity to hear violinist Letitia Quante, cellist Emily Taubl and pianist Hiromi Fukuda perform is well worth the effort.” All 3 musicians have earned their spot as a graduate of The Juilliard School, the prestigious performing arts conservatory in New York City and hold positions in the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, Springfield Symphony Orchestra, Amherst College and the University of Vermont. The high level professional performances of Champlain Trio reveal a cohesive ensemble that could become an important part of Vermont’s musical life. One of their recent projects was the documentary, “Empty Stages: Performances and Stories of Resilience,” directed by renowned Barnet filmmaker Jay Craven. Quante, Taubl and Fukuda will be performing at the Isham Family Farm in Williston, Vermont on Thursday, August 25th at 7pm. The program is titled,"French Voices" and will feature works by Cecile Chaminade, Claude Debussy, Lily Boulanger, Gabriel Faure. In the intimate setting of the renovated Isham post and beam barn, this is the classic place to witness the personal expression and conversation between the musicians of this esteemed Chamber music ensemble-a concert that should not be missed.
