SONGS OF FREEDOM, RESILIENCE AND HOPE
Artists from the Metropolitan Opera, Broadway and beyond will perform music of freedom, resilience and hope.
Selections include: Nessun Dorma (Turandot); Somewhere over the Rainbow (The Wizard of Oz); You’ll Never Walk Alone (Carousel); Song to the Moon (Rusalka); Variations, arrg. John Williams (Fiddler on the Roof); Can You Hear the People Sing (Les Misérables); La Mama Morta (Andrea Chenier), There Won’t Be Trumpets (Anyone Can Whistle); Remember Me (Written in the Stars), Avant de Quitter ces Lieux (Faust) a dazzling work by Chopin and readings of poignant poetry such as What it Means to be Free (Elie Wiesel), read by a Wiesel family member, and much more.
There will also be fantastic raffle prizes, and a few surprises!
*Proceeds will support RAZOM, INTERNATIONAL RESCUE COMMITTEE and INTERNATIONAL FUND FOR ANIMAL WELFARE.
All concert attendees will be required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 and must maintain appropriate face coverings.
