In NYC she was one of the founding members of Aluá, a Brazilian Jazz trio noted for their lush vocal arrangements. Foremost among her percussion teachers is the Brazilian percussionist Mauro Refosco (American Utopia.) Kerry holds a Masters in Linguistics and sings fluently in Portuguese, Spanish, French and Hebrew. Kerry performs with her trio in NYC and the Hudson Valley, and has recorded with John MIller, Luiz Simas, Marco Figueira, Susan Pereira among others.
