Learn to do a professional quality home paint job youself! Getting ready to leave your apartment and want that security deposit back? Or is it time to cover up years of kids' fingerprints and dog scratches with a room refresh? Join us for an informative hands-on workshop on prepping and painting the walls in your home. We'll cover: - How to paint drywall, plaster and trim - Strategies to make common repairs - Tools and techniques for sanding & mixing - How to choose and apply caulks, sealants and primers Our instructor is Nichole Lovett, Owner of Harmony Haus Painting. Harmony Haus has been Evanston's local ECO Conscious paint contractor for 14 years. Nichole specializes in residential painting with experience in repaints, new construction, and a particular appreciation for the painting and restoration of vintage homes. She Incorporates her environmentally conscious practices into her business practice to reduce, reuse, and recycle. Nichole has served on the peer review editorial board of APC Magazine, has contributed writing to American Painting Contractor Magazine among others, and is currently serving as President of Illinois’ local painting contractor organization. LOGISTICS • Additional parking available along Hartrey St. or in the lot at the southwest corner of Dempster and Hartrey. • This workshop is 18+ • All materials are included in the workshop fee. • We will be painting so please dress appropriately. REFUNDS & EXCHANGES • If you can’t make it to a class, you can transfer your ticket to someone 18 or older. Just email [email protected] with their name and email address. • If the Evanston Rebuilding Warehouse needs to cancel a workshop, we will notify you 24 hours before the class and give you the option of refund or reschedule. • We do not currently offer other refunds or transfers between classes.
