2022 Harris County AgriLife Extension Texas Landowner Educational Series focusing on agribusiness, new and experienced landowners Schedule is as follows: Monday, May 23, 2022 - Speakers from USDA Farm Service Agency, Natural Resources Conservation Service, Farm Loans as well as Harris County Appraisal District Monday, June 27, 2022 - Speakers are Greg Phillips, Attorney, who will be speaking on estate planning, eminent domain, trust, wills and land acquisitions as well as Kent Savage with Capital Farm Credit on farm and agribusiness loans July (TBA) Field Tour , Pasture Management and Livestock Production Practices Aug (TBA) Field Tour, Fence Building and Native Grass Restoration Monday, September 26. 2022 -Speakers will cover fruit trees, pecans and grapes for small acreage production , Viticulture Agribusiness Monday, Oct 24, 2022 - Speakers include Dr. Mandy Clayton and Dr. Maureen Frank on weed and brush control and wildlife management and practices Nov 4, 2022 - Graduation (TBA) All classes, except the field trips will be held in the training room at 13105 Northwest Freeway beginning at 1 pm.
