SPEAKER: Sara Abosch Jacobson, Ph.D., M.A. – Barbara Rabin Chief Education Officer
Dr. Sara Abosch Jacobson is the Barbara Rabin Chief Education Officer of the Dallas Holocaust and Human Rights Museum. In this position, she oversees all content-related areas for the Museum including educational and public programming, archives and special collections, and all special gallery exhibits.
Abosch Jacobson holds a Ph.D. in Modern European and Jewish History, an M.A. in Modern British and Jewish History, and an M.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Civil/Military Relations. Before joining the Museum, she was the David Bornblum Visiting Scholar in Judaic Studies at the University of Memphis from 2009-2012.
Dr. Abosch Jacobson has extensive university teaching experience and has written and researched on Jewish history and culture. Her recent book, “We are not only English Jews—we are Jewish Englishmen”: The Making of an Anglo-Jewish Identity, 1840-1880, was published in 2019.
