Description
We will premiere 5 original TV pilots that the students of the Incubator have spent the year writing, producing, and film through TSTV. The Incubator is a year long student run TSTV program at UT Austin, that teaches students who are accepted how to write, produce, and film an original TV pilot. They have spent the year split into five pilot groups workshopping their original ideas into what you will see on the screen today. Event Schedule: 6:45-7:00PM - Doors open and audience can come in and take their seat. 7:00-9:15PM - Introduce the pilots and the filmmakers, screening each of them. 9:15-10:00PM - Conclude with a Q&A portion where the audience can ask the filmmakers questions about their pilots. ______________________________ The TV pilots you will view are as follows: Super Tuesday by Ryan Cerna, Mason Scivally, Miranda Hernandez, Tatum Ostos Logline: A group of over achieving college students seeking to become president of their student body. The Butterfly Knot by Kat Zhang, Devin Jones, Lili Esparaza, Sloane Reardon Logline: After falling into a river, a young man is saved by a spirit of love who wants to pass on his spiritual duties; in return for saving the man's life, the man must serve the spirit as a matchmaker for four seasons. Note: This one will be in Mandarin with English subtitles Kind of Messy by Grace Song, Isaac Hermosillo, Lara Best, Michael Norris Logline: When an imaginative school janitor loses his beloved partner & best friend (an acerbic teddy bear) he is forced to don his best detective hat as his daytime fantasy of being a noir detective suddenly comes true. Modern Ghosts by Assad Malik, Chase Bolnick, Cassie Quintela Logline: After two centuries old ghosts are reborn in the modern time period, they try to fix the life of the young woman who’s house they’re haunting. Midterms and Murder by Cayla Miller, Ethan Jones, Lauren Haughey and Whitney Williams Logline: After an incompetent and lazy forensics professor walks into his classroom to find he’s been framed for his boss’ death minutes before class, he must fake his way through a midterm review session without the students discovering the incident.
