Description

If you you've ever wanted to forgive, but found it nearly impossible, this event is for you. Taught by mind-body pioneer Dr. Mary Ann Iyer. Most religious traditions focus on forgiveness as an essential part of the spiritual path, but it matters for our personal health, too. Beyond the obvious discomfort we experience from an inner roiling diatribe, it is literally hard on the heart. “Held-in hostility” has been linked to heart attacks, and difficulty healing if we have one. The challenge, of course, is that though we may be willing to forgive, we can’t will it to happen. How DO we forgive when it is so challenging to do? Please join us in a three-hour workshop on June 25th (1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Eastern), in which we will explore: The reasons why forgiveness – of others as well as of ourselves – mattersTypical blocks we have to authentic forgivenessSupportive methods to move beyond our stuck places. At the conclusion of the workshop, each participant will receive a forgiveness guided meditation CD at no additional charge. Mary Ann Iyer, MD has been at the forefront of Mindbody Medicine since 1982. Board-certified in Internal Medicine and with a Masters in Psychology, she takes a uniquely psycho-spiritual approach to healing. Since 1982, Dr. Iyer has focused on the “mind-body” connection in her climical work, writing, and teaching. She and her husband live in Western N.C.
