The New South Festival Singers performs at Piccolo Spoleto celebrating the return of Music Director Lynn Swanson
The New South Festival Singers return to Charleston's Piccolo Spoleto Festival where the choir has delighted capacity audiences in annual performances since 1989. Lynn Swanson, who previously served as conductor from 2015-2017, returns as Music Director. Our program includes the Festival Singers' signature early American folk songs, hymns and spirituals, classical selections by Faure, Schubert, and Brahms. The concert will also feature the Charleston premier of Daniel Sabgzhabaei' Goli az dast beraft and Caroline Mallone's Come to Me in Dreams. The New South Festival Singers has apeared at Piccolo Spoleto in past years as "Gwinnett Festival Singers" and as "William Baker Festival Singers Atlanta." Early arrival is recommended for best seats.
