Description

Practice your Pitches at Tech Alley with Tight 5 PLUS Merdeka 118 starting at 9am, bring your notion and work on it with real feedback! Bring your not-quite-done-yet startup pitch, or the rough idea of one, to try out in front of a few of your peers who will tell you what you need to hear, to polish it up and dial it in on your way to an elevator pitch, pitch deck, or presentation that will impress! The Ten Minute total time limit will be strictly enforced for each speaker! Tight 5 Format Pitch/Presentation as a Tight 5, that is 5 minutes!Q&A and Feedback about your pitch 5 minutesPlease leave out the financials. That is another Workout Room formatThat is 10 minutes total per speaker in the workout room, if the pitch leads to more discussion AFTER, you just might be onto something! You have all day to continue those conversations. Similar to an open mic, get up there, give your Tight 5 (even if it isn't completely tight) and get some honest opinions in response... ABOUT YOUR PITCH This is not about being mean (if you want to be mean, take it elsewhere), this is about cutting to the chase, about honing and polishing, about finding bugs in your story so you can fix them. If your presentation is longer than 5 minutes, your time for feedback is NOT extended. Ten minutes each, total, to share your pitch ideas, slide changes, and narrative tweaks. Tight 5, it's the right thing to do, it's the time limit to aim for here. Don't forget, you are already at the May Tech Alley super meetup, which begins just after the workout room at 10am as usual... let's provide feedback about the pitch during the workout room, and spend hours following up and continuing conversations about your idea, which is exactly the desired effect of your pitch! PLUS: The Merdeka 118 At the end of the hour, anyone who gave their Tight 5 pitch (and anyone who wanted to) has a ride on the Merdeka 118, the second tallest building in the world at 118 stories. YOU have 118 seconds to pitch just One Story... Yours! Grab one or two willing audience members and we'll put 2 minutes on the clock, use the extra 2 seconds to take a deep breath. See you there!
