Join us as we come together to recognize World Sickle Cell Day and Juneteenth and raise money to benefit Sickle Cell Foundation of MN! 2022 Slow Roll for Sickle Cell: A World Sickle Cell Day & Juneteenth Bike Ride Fundraiser with Melanin in Motion and Slow Roll MSPJoin Sickle Cell Foundation of MN, Melanin in Motion, and Slow Roll MSP for a celebration of warriors and freedom in motion on a conversationally paced Slow Roll bike ride through North Minneapolis' most beautiful green spaces. The goal of this fundraising event is to increase awareness about sickle cell disease and how the community can support patients through advocacy, education, blood donation, bone marrow registration, and financial gifts while celebrating Black bodies in motion on the marking of this historical day of liberation. *Average biking speed is 8 mph. Those living with SCD are not defined by the pain and complications of this disease, but by their incredible strength and resiliency.  -------------------------------------------------- Our Work Sickle Cell Disease Foundation of Minnesota’s mission is to improve quality of life and increase access to competent and compassionate care for individuals and communities affected by sickle cell disease.
