The HDFCC is hosting its 13th annual Hamtramck Health Hike! This is a free family 5k event with free lunch, prizes, giveaways, and more! The annual Hamtramck 5k is back! Join us at Zussman Park (across from Hamtramck City Hall) on Saturday, May 21st for a morning of music and fun for all ages and activity levels! The first 350 participants will receive a FREE t-shirt, backpack, and lunch. Ice cream will also be provided as well as the chance to enter raffles for different prizes. The prizes are for all ages as they range from Meijer gift cards to basketballs and bicycles. Whether you choose to run, jog, or walk, there is something for everyone at the Hamtramck Health Hike! The event is rain or shine consisting of a 5K course through the streets of Hamtramck followed by various games, prizes and free lunches (with halal/vegan options). The Hamtramck Drug Free Community Coalition(HDFCC) encourages community members to come together at the Health Hike to celebrate and learn more about healthy, drug-free lifestyles.
