FRAMINGHAM, MA - As part of a cooperative effort between the City of Framingham and Towns of Ashland and Natick, residents now have an opportunity to suggest ways to make their community healthier and stronger in the face of climate change through a new survey. The Climate Conversation Survey is being led by a team of residents, called community climate liaisons, from each of three participating communities. Climate liaisons are connecting with the residents about their experience with the impacts of climate change through conversations and surveys. The survey is intended to provide Ashland, Natick, and Framingham with a better understanding of:• How climate change impacts a respondent's life and community;• Which strategies or program residents use to prepare for or cope with climate change'simpacts• Residents' ideas for actions to address climate change The information collected will be used to identify local action that Ashland, Natick, Framingham can take to lessen and prepare for climate change's impacts. The team is collecting information through conversations with the climate liaisons as well as the survey. Later this spring, findings and recommendations will be summarized and shared throughout the three municipalities and wider community. The project team will also be hosting summer community events to share findings and collect feedback from the wider public. The survey is part of the Metro West Climate Equity Project, which began in the fall of 2021 and will continue to 2023.
