NEW YORK CITY — Get ready for pedal power to take over New York City's streets. More than 30,000 cyclists expected to join the TD Five Boro Bike Tour Sunday morning for a with a 40-mile ride from Battery City, through Manhattan, The Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and finally, Staten Island. The ride kicks off at 7 a.m. and some traffic closures won't reopen until 7 p.m. that evening, according to the MTA. "For safety's sake, customers should carry, not roll, bikes down stairs." Bridge Closures The Verrazzano-Narrow Bridge's lower level headed into Staten Island will be closed until 7 p.m., as will the BQE's westbound approach to the bridge, MTA officials said.
