Press release from University of Wisconsin - Green Bay: April 28, 2022 The Environmental Management and Business Institute (EMBI) will be providing support for the City of Green Bay's recently received $87,000 Comprehensive Energy Planning grant from the Public Service Commission. The grant was announced on Earth Day. John Arendt, Director of EMBI and a commissioner on the City of Green Bay's Sustainability Commission, provided matching support along with other partners for the City's grant application. The first phase of the project will involve city officials seeking community input. The second phase of the project will include a baseline energy compilation being done to gather a full picture of the community's energy usage. And, the third phase of the project will involve energy audits being completed throughout the city. Each of these phases will provide valuable learning opportunities for UWGB interns.
