An authentic celebration of music, art, and cuisine, and the history of the Caribbean Islands. Due to unfortunate circumstances in Miami Beach, the Washington Avenue Business Improvement District has elected to postpone the Caribbean Heritage Music Series and Caribbean Heritage Music Festival. The BID diligently works to positively improve the mindset and reputation of Washington Avenue and Miami Beach. Our goal with the Caribbean events is to offer a cultural experience unlike any Caribbean event in South Florida history. We have commitments from 28 of the 30 islands, renowned international entertainers, corporations, consulants and sponsors. However, after receiving calls from several island delegates regarding the undertones in the news, we feel it is prudent to delay the event to a later date in the future. In the words of Georg C. Lichtenberg. “I cannot say whether things will get better if we change; what I can say is they must change if they are to get better.”
