After Serious Injury Incident In Sudbury, Police Locate Samaritan

SUDBURY, MA — Sudbury police have identified a Samaritan who stopped to help a severely injured worker on Monday morning, according to the department. Around 8:30 a.m. Monday, police responded to near 29 Hudson Road on a report that a person working there had suffered a severe laceration. The injured worker was rapidly losing lots of blood, police said. A man driving a white van and wearing a construction helmet stopped at the scene. He wrapped a tourniquet around the injured man's wound, very likely saving his life, Sudbury police said in a Facebook post. The injured worker was taken to a hospital in Boston with life-threatening injuries. Following the incident, police used social media to try and track down the Samaritan to "commend him for his selfless act." They have located the person, but had not released his identity yet.
