Position: Full Time Tutorial / Small Group Math Instructor Hiring: Fall of 2020 Position: Tutorial / Small Group Math Instructor Willow Hill School is seeking a Mathematics Tutorial Teacher for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. The Math Tutorial Teacher works with students in small groups (approximately 2-6 students) to help them better grasp the Mathematical concepts that they are learning in Math class, or to fill in the gaps they are missing. In collaboration with the general classroom Math Teachers, the Math Tutorial Teacher will choose and/or design lessons, materials, and activities to ensure that students are meeting their potential, whether they need extra support or challenging enrichment in the subject. The Math Specialist will also work with the Director of Instructional Services and the general classroom Math Teachers to collect, analyze, and interpret data, and use it to inform instruction. In addition to teaching Mathematics content, the Math Tutorial Teacher will help students learn and practice the organizational skills needed to transition in and out of classes, keep their materials organized, and to effectively study for upcoming assessments. The ideal candidate will have a strong content knowledge of Mathematical concepts up through the 10th grade level.
