HOOKSETT, NH — A Manchester woman was accused of drunken driving after a rollover crash in Hooksett on Saturday.
Police and fire and rescue teams were sent to Whitehall Road for a report of a crash around 12:30 a.m. When they arrived, they found a Ford Escape resting against an embankment on its side. According to pictures from the scene, the SUV struck a tree and then flipped over.
The driver, Emma Laclaire, 22, of Manchester, was accused of showing signs of impairment. Police found an open alcoholic beverage container in the front passenger area, Sgt. Joseph Ducharme of the Hooksett Police Department, said.
"After the Hooksett Fire Department was able to extricate Laclaire, they transported her to the Elliot Hospital where she refused any testing," he said.
Laclaire was arrested on a driving while intoxicated charge and an open container violation. She was released on personal recognizance bail with a court date of May 12 at the Sixth Circuit Hooksett District Court.
