Press release from Washoe County Sheriff: April 27, 2022 PR #: 2022-71 The Washoe County Sheriff's Office and Join Together Northern Nevada join several community partners this Saturday to provide residents an opportunity to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Medicines that remain in home cabinets are highly susceptible to misuse, and abuse. Rates of prescription drug abuse in the U.S. are alarmingly high, as are the number of accidental poisonings and overdoses due to these drugs.
