STOUGHTON, MA — A Stoughton woman, who has become known as one of country music's biggest songwriters, was nominated for two Grammy awards Wednesday. Lori McKenna received nominations for her writing credits for a song for Lady Gaga in the movie "A Star is Born" and another single for country star Miranda Lambert. McKenna was one of four writers of the movie's ballad "Always Remember Us this Way."The song, penned by McKenna, Lady Gaga, Natalie Hemby and Hillary Lindsey, was nominated for Song of the Year. Lambert's hit single "It all Comes Out in the Wash" was also co-written by McKenna and is up for Best Country Song. McKenna wrote the single with Liz Roze and Lindsey. McKenna has now earned nine Grammy nominations throughout her music career and has already won twice for Best Country Song. She won in 2014 for Little Big Town's smash hit "Girl Crush" and in 2016 for "Humble and Kind" by Tim McGraw. See other Grammy nominations here.
