Description
Every month, the Stoughton Public Library gives local artists a chance to show their work to the entire community. For January, painter Robson Pereira Rowbottom's work was chosen for the gallery.
Rowbottom is a Brazilia-born and self-taught artists who came to the United States in 2007. He now lives in southern Massachusetts. He gets most of his inspiration from nature and working a variety of jobs to support his craft.
Rowbottom's work isn't your typical painting because he doesn't use traditional brushes. Instead, he creates his art by painting with pieces of wood, plastic bags, dried tree branches, paint tubes, plastic utensils, tassel grass or anything else that adds an interesting texture to the piece.
Several of Rowbottom's paintings will be on display for the entire month of January.
