Press release from the University of Alabama in Huntsville: April 29, 2022 The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), a part of The University of Alabama System, announced that 26 faculty members have been recognized for their outstanding performance and overall excellence by being awarded tenure and/or promotion effective the 2022-2023 academic year. These faculty include seven members awarded tenure and promotion to Associate Professor, eight promotions to Professor, two awards of Tenure, one promotion to Professor with Tenure, one promotion to Clinical Professor, two promotions to Clinical Assistant Professor, four promotions to Senior Lecturer and one promotion to Librarian III. "I am pleased to announce the tenure and promotion decisions, effective academic year 2022-2023," says Dr. Robert G. Lindquist, Interim Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. "These decisions resulted from extensive reviews by faculty colleagues at the department, college and university levels and, in appropriate cases, references by distinguished colleagues from other academic institutions. My decisions took into account those reviews and the recommendations of the chairs and deans. Interim President Karr concurred with the decisions."
