Press release from Stoughton Library: This summer and fall, the Stoughton community is reading Just Mercy: A Story of Justice and Redemption, by Bryan Stevenson. Just Mercy is a powerful true story about the potential for mercy to redeem us, and a clarion call to fix our broken system of justice—from one of the most brilliant and influential lawyers of our time. Stoughton Reads is our townwide read program that aims to bring community members together and foster discussion and education on a common and important theme. Free books and ebooks are available from the Stoughton Public Library and the Old Colony Library Network. Mad Mama's Vintage in Stoughton Center has copies for sale as well. Call the library at 781-344-2711 for your free Stoughton Reads face mask (while they last). Masks have been provided by S.O.L.A (Support Our Library Association). Scheduled programs include: Thursday, August 27 at 7:00pm, A viewing author Bryan Stevenson's TED Talk, We Need to Talk About an Injustice followed by a facilitated discussion. Registration required.
