STONEHAM, MA — The number of coronavirus cases in Stoneham has risen above 300, according to the latest figures from the town. As of May 5, the case count stood at 305. There are 73 active cases of the coronavirus in Stoneham. On Saturday, the town will hold a drive-thru mask distribution event at Stoneham High School, 149 Franklin St., from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. The event is reserved for Stoneham residents only, and masks will be limited to five per car. Residents will be asked to show their ID prior to receiving their masks. AFC Urgent Care in Stoneham is holding another drive-thru testing clinic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at 16 Main St. In order to qualify, patients will need to be pre-screened by an AFC provider between May 6 and May 8. If interested in a screening and to be eligible for an AFC Urgent Care doctor's note, call 781-430-8161 ‪from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. between Wednesday, May 6 and Friday, May 8.
