Sweet kitty needs new home

Description

We have a wonderful 8-month-old orange tabby boy, Mothra, who is just not a good fit for us anymore. This breaks my heart, because he is an absolute sweetheart--good with my daughter, very playful, chatty, uses the litter perfectly, and is more like a puppy than a cat. He LOVES being held, even by strangers, and runs to greet us whenever we come home. Unfortunately, being like a puppy means he loves destroying plastic and paper products (mostly cardboard, but he also shreds toilet paper) and sometimes claws the couch. Those are bearable, but he also is so talkative that he's driving us nuts. No matter how much we or our older cat play with him, Mothra will stop briefly and then go back to it for hours on end. (He is fixed, so yowling is not an issue.) We work from home and are at our wits' end; I've owned cats my entire life and have tried everything, to no avail. He's just bored, and it's affecting our sleep and general crankiness. D: Mothra needs a busier family than ours with at least one other young cat and maybe a dog--he's never met one, but he's extremely friendly (a lot of his trilling is at stray cats he sees out the window) and would love to play with anyone with a lot of energy! As mentioned, he is fixed, extremely healthy, and has all his shots, including rabies. Asking a $20 adoption fee. Thank you!
