STONEHAM, MA — The Massachusetts state primary is Tuesday, Sept. 1, but the election will be much different this year, thanks to the coronavirus. This year voters have the option of voting in-person on election day, as well as early voting and mail-in voting options. The last day to register to vote for the Sept. 1 primary election was Saturday, Aug. 22. You can check your voting status on the Secretary of State's Website. You can also use the Website to find your polling place. If you missed the deadline to register to vote, make sure you register for future elections. Click here to see who is on the ballot in Stoneham. Mail-In VotingVoting by mail is available to all registered voters in 2020. The Secretary of State's Office Elections Division mailed an application to every registered voter in Massachusetts on July 15, 2020. The application will be used to request a ballot for the September 1, 2020 State Primary Election and November 3, 2020 Presidential Election. The deadline to submit an application was Aug. 26. Ballots must be delivered by 8 p.m. on Election Day. You can check the status of your ballot here.
