Banford Road Farm is an organic, regenerative, no-till, human-powered farm. We are focused on soil health and work to maintain ecological balance all across the property. Our nine acres will consist of five acres of woods, two acres of vegetable and herb production. This year we are starting with just 1 acre of vegetable production. The vegetable field is surrounded by woods and is a beautiful place to work. I need part time help 2-4 days per week for 4-8 hours per day. Your schedule is flexible and open for discussion. If you're interested in learning how to farm on a small scale by hand and enjoy getting paid to exercise, text me and we'll set up a phone call or zoom interview! In May we are building two greenhouses and measuring out beds. Planting is starting very soon. Your work will consist of helping me to build greenhouses, fencing, planting, harvesting, washing and packing vegetables for sale at farmers markets. You will learn to use a flame weeder, a tilther, hand cultivation tools, and other hand tools. I do not use a tractor for this style of farming on a small scale. The farm is located less than 1 mile from Woodstock North High School and Marian Catholic High School.
