King was a yard dog, tied up and neglected at the best of times. Caged for most of the day without the freedom to romp and play like all pups should. His owner, at the end of his own life’s rope, was going to bring King to Animal Control for euthanasia; but a kind woman got word of this poor pup’s fate and took pity on him. Now after months of foster love, family affection and regular care, King is a brand new dog! He is so laid back and well behaved, enjoying afternoon naps in your lap, evening cuddles in your lap and weekend Netflix bingathons in your lap! I think you are starting to see a pattern emerging. King is a 3 year old pit bull/staffy mix, around 60lbs. He comes neutered, vaccinated, and up to date on monthly preventatives. King does not do well with cats and is selective about his dog companions. But what he lacks in his appreciation for the 4-leggers, he more than makes up for with his love of people, be them friend or stranger, from the biggest to the youngest of us. King would make a great dog for a single pet family. He rides well in a car, walks great on a leash, does NOT chew your stuff, does NOT excessively bark, does NOT dig in your yard, and is learning basic commands. He already knows “sit”, “wait” and “paw”. King is a people pleaser making him highly trainable and obedient. Home checks are required.
