I’m a drummer in Oakland looking for a few like-minded deviants to play raw, cryptic, alien post-punk with prominent gothic, anarcho, and no wave vibes. The sound I have in mind would draw heavily on classic influences like CHROME, SWELL MAPS, VIRGIN PRUNES, FLUX OF PINK INDIANS, THE MOB, THE EX, WIRE, VEX, IPSO FACTO, PERE UBU, etc. and more recent bands like EDUCATION, THE DRIN, LIIEK, and DIAT. I’m very passionate about anarchy, lived poetry, DIY publishing, and magick, so any shared interests in those areas would be ideal. Hit me up and let’s make some anxious, pitch-black filth.
