New Bus Stop Improves Access To Stone Zoo, Middlesex Fells

STONEHAM, MA — Local officials recently celebrated the opening of a new bus stop that provides greater access to the Stone Zoo and Middlesex Fells. Riders of the MBTA 132 bus can now use the new stop on Pond Street at the Stone Zoo and Greenwood Playground. The stop was added after traffic-calming and pedestrian safety improvements were completed at the zoo this summer. The project was supported by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Stoneham's state legislators, town officials and the Stone Zoo.
