Stoneham's China Moon Closing After 60+ Years A longtime Chinese restaurant in Stoneham is closing. China Moon will shut down around mid-December, as the owners plan to sell the property, according to multiple sources cited by Boston Restaurant Talk. The restaurant has been in the same family for three generations. It first opened in 1953, serving Chinese-American cuisine, Polynesian drinks and a variety of sushi rolls and shareable platters. Elsewhere in Middlesex County Melrose Surpasses 3 Percent Positive Test Rate As Surge Continues Coronavirus metrics released the day after Thanksgiving indicate the virus is showing no signs of slowing in Melrose. The city's positive test rate is now at 3.15 percent, the first time it's been over 3 percent during the pandemic. The average daily incidence rate per 100,000 residents is also hitting new highs, sitting at 30.3. Malden Installing Dozens Of Electric Vehicle Charging Stations The city will install 22 electric vehicle charging stations at five locations across Malden. The city's Energy Efficiency Commission worked with National Grid and Public Facilities Director Eric Rubin to obtain incentives to install the stations, which will provide residents and visitors with ample opportunities to charge their vehicles.
