Live Music at Nō ft. MNTRY + Shadi Friday, May 13th at Nō Studios Doors at 7p | Music at 8p Free parking available in the surface lot next to our building. MNTRYMontrey Slayton, better known by his stage name MNTRY, is a singer/songwriter from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born into a family full of musically inclined individuals, it was inevitable that he would walk in the same footsteps. He uses his ability to mix old school soul with modern R&B to create a sound that only he can create. MNTRY recorded his first single in 2008 after graduating high school and found his love for songwriting thereafter. His breakout single “Cake” was released in 2014. It was played all across the world and was recognized on some of the world’s biggest blogs. As time passed MNTRY has performed all over the country which included opening for Keisha Cole, Janelle Mone and Avant. He has written and produced music for many national recording artist. His influences includes The Dream, Eric Bellinger and Usher. ShadiShadi is a Milwaukee creative. She embarked on her musical journey in early 2018 with release of her 5- track EP "My Life in a Boombox". Shadi's vibe is reminiscent of the 90's Hip Hop era that heavily inspires her songs.
