OCDC is hosting its 2022 Walk-A-Thon as a fundraiser for its mentorship program. One of the most important facets in the lives of our children is having someone to look up to and respect. This person is often referred to as a role model. Believe it or not, most role models never know on a personal level the effect they have on people or, in this case, children during their formative years. Mentors, on the other hand, are people equipped with certain qualities and skills shared through their efforts and sacrifice the proper growth and development our children and young adults need. This is extremely important when matters of the heart are lured and approached by matters of the world. Many programs were devastated by the pandemic and COVID-19. Oasis Community Development Center (OCDC) is currently hosting our 2022 Walk-A-Thon event to re-establish the fulfillment and excellence in our mentorship program. The OCDC Mentorship Program mentors youth from the age of 5 –18.
