A workforce capacity educational opportunity, providing initial training and mentorship for prevention credentialing process. Hamilton County Public Health is partnering with PreventionFIRST! to train recovery professionals in providing prevention strategies. This education series will support any interested professionals mentorship by PF! and initial educational requirements for the Ohio Prevention Credential. Week 1/May 2022 Prevention Credentialing- The History of Prevention P6- Professional Growth & Responsibility for Prevention Professionals This session is meant for individuals new to the field of prevention, seeking their Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant certification. Participants will gain knowledge of basic prevention theory and its application in communities. Learning Objectives: 1. Participants will be able to identify basic prevention terminology and definitions 2. Participants will be more prepared to effectively deliver prevention services 3. Participants will understand the use of various prevention strategies and how to implement them with effectiveness
