WHO: High school students who want to plan their next steps WHAT: A career expo featuring employers and community resources Industry Information EducationTrainingEmployabilitySoft SkillsThe #What’sNXT at NXT Owasso Career Expo is sponsored by the Oklahoma Dept. of Career and Technology Education (ODCTE), Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS), and the University of Oklahoma – National Center for Disability Education and Training (OU/NCDET) and is designed specifically for High School aged youth. There is no cost to attend this event. Lunch and snacks will be provided! This event is intended to help students: Plan and progress through the next steps in their high school career. Opportunity to hear from dynamic speakers Learn valuable information about what they can do to begin preparing for life after high school. Students can choose from a variety of employer and community resource booths, focusing on employability and soft skills needed for the workplace environment. Industry professionals will provide specific information about their career field including required education, training, requirements and advice. Additionally, this event may align with some students’ ICAP plans.
